Bright white head fills half the glass and has great retention. Beer colour – yellow with a bright golden sheen. The aroma is bitter and sour, vividly grapefruity and pleasantly juicy.
Starts medium-bodied and bittersweet, then gives way to a sour, grapefruity note. Finishes with the sweet and spicy ethereality of lemon grass as the massively dominant note. The aftertaste is sour and spicy with a moderately bitter touch of grapefruit oil.
This is a VERY GOOD brew with a bitter-sweet-sour-spicy-sour-spicy-bitter bouquet of flavours, a medium body, an above average carbonation and a dry palate. The style has been captured perfectly, you can clearly taste all the promised extra notes – there’s nothing to complain about.
