Isa ja Poeg
Isa ja Poeg is a sweet and sour, golden, long-fermented type of lager. With this beer, we have taken a small but bold step further from mass produced lagers – the beer tastes more intense but maintains the lightness of lager. Spicy, hoppy and caramel notes come through in the flavour.
On the label we use a still image from Jaan Toomik’s video installation Isa ja poeg (Father and Son).
water, barley malt, hops, yeast
Galena, Tettnanger, Saaz

One finger white head recedes quickly. Beer colour – bright yellow. The aroma is pleasantly sour and sweet, the characteristic melody of a high-quality lager.
Starts medium bodied and sweet and sour. Then gives way to somewhat fuller and more malty notes – the flavour is dazzling! Finishes with pleasantly bitter, slightly herby hop notes. The aftertaste is bitter and spicy with a hint of caramel.
This is a STELLAR beer with a sweet-sour-sweet-bitter-sour-bitter-spicy bouquet of flavours, a medium body and moderate carbonation. TOP QUALITY lager, a dazzling brew! Rarely does this style of beer offer such a pleasant and versatile taste experience – hopefully this is not an exception and the new brewery is able to keep producing lager at this standard.
